Professor John Hall is a distinguished academic with over 20 years of experience, primarily at Deakin University, a global leader in online education. As the Head of the Department of Marketing at Deakin Business School, he was instrumental in managing and developing innovative online programs, including the creation of “start anytime” online units. His efforts consistently resulted in over 90% student satisfaction, reflecting the high quality and effectiveness of his online teaching initiatives.
Professor Hall’s expertise spans across various marketing domains, including research methodology and analysis, international marketing, non-profit and social marketing, branding, tourism and hospitality marketing, marketing education, and consumer behavior. His extensive research portfolio includes two Australian Research Council (ARC) grants and numerous A-level publications. With a passion for teaching, he has educated and supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding many in their research endeavors.
In addition to his role at Deakin, Professor Hall has served as the Dean of MIHE and Professor of Marketing, where he led various academic initiatives, including serving as Campus Head, Director of a research center, and company director. He also holds the title of Adjunct Professor at Abu Dhabi University, further solidifying his international academic presence.
